I've been teaching a simple but intricate-looking dance that's adaptable to anyone's favorite song. It can be learned in as little as 2 full sessions, hence the total price is $100. My rate is $50 an hour for a private lesson. The first trial lesson is free and we spend 30 minutes reviewing your favorite song so I can be confident of choreographing my basic steps to your music. I will also teach you both the four basic steps we will be using. At the end of the 30 minute free demo, you should have a good idea of what the dance will be, and can decide if you want to proceed. So far, no one has declined, and everyone has been successful in their wedding dance. (In fact, some couples were thrilled - even the ones who spent weeks at a ballroom studio and left in frustration, before coming to me and getting exactly what they wanted, in 2 lessons.)

After the second full lesson, you'll leave with a cassette tape that contains your music with my voice recorded on top, so you can use it to practice the steps on your own, as a refresher. The choreography is customized to best fit your music but it's repetitive so that you don't have to memorize a lot. I want everyone to look happy and relaxed on their video so I make the lessons fun too. The practice tape does come in handy even just listening to the music, with the steps, in your car. You can also give it to a band to adjust their timing, if you don't use a DJ.

Saturday and Sunday afternoons are also a possibility, as are weekday lunch hours (should you both work nearby.) The studio is 5 minutes from the intersection of route 202, DeKalb Pike, and Henderson Road. You proceed North on Henderson for 1.5 miles, going past route 23, Valley Forge Road, then make a left at the next light = Beidler Road. Go one more block and make a right at the STOP sign, into our parking lot in front of the strip mall. We're in Sweetbriar Square, next to Fiddlers Green Restaurant. The studio is new, spacious, and also accessible from the route 23 exit of the 422 expressway. Coming from this end of Beidler Road, "back road" - you can avoid 202 completely.

Interested in a wedding party group rate? Or enjoyed dancing together so much that you'd like to continue, even after the wedding? Starting in November we'll offer a "learn a dance of the month" on four Friday nights from 8 to 10 PM. It's only $25/couple for the two hours of class to learn and practice a series of steps. After 4 lessons, you'll have a complete basic dance. In November we'll start with the Waltz. Subsequent months will feature Foxtrot, Salsa, and Swing. Send me an Email if interested in this option.
